POPLAR

Poplar is from the softwood family. The benefits of this wood includes burning hot and is easy to start. The fire typically lasts a few hours, which makes this a great choice for shorter campfires!

Poplar wood produces 13.7-14.7 Million BTU/cord.

TAMARACK

Tamarack is another great type of wood for inside the home or backyard campfire. People enjoy the snap, crackle, pop it provides. It is one of the softer hardwood species.

Tamarack wood produces more BTU/cord than Birch at about 22 Million.

SPRUCE / PINE

Spruce / Pine are from the softwood family. The benefits are that it is easy to burn. It produces a nice fragrance for people who are sensitive to smells. They are a great, inexpensive option.

 Spruce / Pine wood produces 14.5 - 15.5 Million BTU/cord.
